the water systems are operating successfully, providing clean water to 3,846 community members. These community members no longer carry the burden of walking dangerous paths in search of open sources and crucially, are no longer suffering from water-related illnesses.

Kasimu Khamis

one of the many communitymember’s whose life was changed thanks to Relate Water. Kasimu is a 60-year-old farmer and father of 8, featured below, shares:

"Many years ago, before the water project was established in our village, I faced many hardships in providing for my family, especially my children’s education. I relied on cultivating a small piece of land to earn a living, but since we only received rain once a year, and in very small amounts, it was very hard to grow enough food and make money to meet our family’s needs. However, after the water project was introduced, my life became much easier. Now, I use the same small piece of land to grow food and also use the water from the tap to make bricks, which I sell for an income. This has allowed me to buy my children’s school uniforms, exercise books, and textbooks, giving me peace of mind about their education and basic needs. As a father, I am now able to provide for my family in ways I never could before. Thank you, our donors, for bringing us water that has completely changed our lives!”
