The Impact

Because the people of the village have been involved every step of the way, and moreover have actually worked to dig, lay pipe, install solar panels, etc - the immense sense of ownership and responsibility is there from the beginning and carries through for a life time of care and maintenance.

Children go to school. Women have economic opportunities outside the home. Waterborne disease are nearly eradicated.

But clean, running water is just the start. Imagine the opportunities this will create for women who no longer have to spend hours each day searching for water. For children who no longer have to miss school. For people no longer plagued by avoidable illnesses.
