Meet our founder
Relate Water is the brainchild of South African philanthropist and social entrepreneur, Lauren Gillis. Lauren is the founder of The Relate Trust, a non-profit organisation that’s raised millions of Rands for charitable organisations and social upliftment.
For Lauren, the South African water crisis is a soul thing. Having visited numerous rural villages with Innovation: Africa, she witnessed firsthand the lack of basic human rights such as clean and safe drinking water. This experience ignited an innate drive within her to support these communities. Through Relate Water’s partnership with Innovation: Africa, South Africa and conscientious brands, Lauren is fulfilling her mission of bringing clean, running water and life-changing opportunities to these villages.
